Robed in Glory

1. Royalty in plain disguise
Which of us will have the eyes to
see how this world is robed in glory?
May God grant us all release.
From our small devices freed
To see how this world is robed in glory.
Ch: This world is robed, robed in glory.
This world is robed, robed in glory.
2. Scientists have seen and heard
the moment that the universe
began in a great exploding fury.
Waves that have been traveling
thirteen billion years to bring
a hum to our ears, like bushes burning. (CH)
3. Dragonfly so high above
When it’s born it’s just a grub
For four years completely underwater
Then it climbs above and molts
Dons its helicopter clothes to
Zigzag the summer; then it’s over. (CH)
4. Dead crow lying on the ground
Other crows soon gather round
to voice something deep by squawking loudly
Watching them place sticks and things
There beside the fallen bird
I see flowers by my father’s gravestone (CH)
5. Ash to ash and dust to dust
One day we’ll be called to rest
In Topsoil in Whom we have our being
Rearranged to life again
Behold the host arrayed in slender green
We shall all be robed in glory. (CH)
